#AttentionUK is a campaign about one of the few mental health disorders that hasn’t become less stigmatised in the UK over the last decade. That disorder is Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, better known as ADHD.

Adults with untreated ADHD are…

7 times more likely than their peers to have had multiple vehicle crashes,
twice as likely to be fired from a job,
and 9 times more likely to end up in prison

…than people without the disorder.

People with ADHD are just as kind and intelligent as everyone else. They deserve the same chances at success as everyone else.

At present, ADHD services are deeply underfunded. The majority of adults with ADHD have no access to treatment. Without treatment, it is easy for adults with ADHD to make mistakes and develop self-destructive coping techniques.

It is thought that 40% of the UK prison population have untreated ADHD.

Moreover, ADHD is the second greatest predictor of total offending behaviour behind heroin use.

ADHD is the one of the most common mental health disorders in the world. people with the condition deserve more recognition and support.

So let’s start paying it some attention.
